With the weather heating up we had a great start to a new Cup Challenge season. There was plenty of hot competition out on the track too! It was great to see the new drivers mixing it with the regulars.
Ben J won the Qualifying round with the fastest lap and winning himself pole position in heat No 1. Ben and Johnno duelled for the whole ten laps for 1st and 2nd place, with Johnno eventually taking 1st place in heat 1, Ben in 2nd place and John R in 3rd place.
With Heat 2, Johnno had pole position with Ben right behind him – the race was on! They put on a great show for the spectators including myself, sprinting away from each other as they navigated their way around the turns and straights. Ben managed to overtake Johnno in the final laps and again won himself pole position in the final.
The final race: Ben had pole position, Johnno in 2nd position, John R in 3rd and Nando in 4th. Ben and Johnno were on equal points as the final was set to start.
All competitors were chasing 1st prize and a chance for the top spot on the podium. With no fear there was a close battle for each driver to get to the front of the pack.
Ben won 1st place taking home a 5 ride pass and the winners cup trophy, Johnno in 2nd place and winning the lucky door prize, and John R in 3rd place.
Well done guys you are our top guns for Heat 1 of the Cup Challenge!!!

FastLane’s Opening Hours have CHANGED

Times for go karting have changed
In order to run a better service, we’ve streamlined our opening hours. We now have consistent opening hours each weekday and stay open late most nights.
Please note we are now closed on Mondays.
FASTLANE TRADING HOURS
Tuesday to Thursday: 2pm to 10pm
Friday: 2pm to 11pm
Saturday: 9am to Midnight
Sunday: 9am to 8pm
OPEN FROM 9am EVERY DAY IN SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
If you have a large group booking, we may be able to open outside of normal hours to give exclusive use of the track. Please phone to enquire.
FastLane’s First Facebook Promo Event

Last Thursday 27th January, FastLane held it’s first promotional event for its Facebook Fans. Free rides, free cinema tickets, free Monster drinks, free BBQ, gave away the DHZ Mini Moto…. heaps of go karting. It was a top night! Another similar event will be held in about 3 months time. FUN EVENT TONIGHT from 5pm

FastLane Karting has invited all its Facebook Fans to some free go karting.
90 people made the guest list and will have a free go kart ride when they arrive today between 5pm and 10pm.
30 lucky people have also received a free cinema ticket from United Cinemas at Narellan.
Anyone interested to join in the action can come along. Get there before 8pm and be in the chance to win : A DHZ Outlaw 140cc Mini Motorbike, valued at $1049. (LTPS/10/12089) A lucky winner will be drawn tonight.
Go kart rides have been discounted to $15.
There’ll be a free BBQ from around 7pm.
A ‘Consistent Driver Challenge’ will run between 5pm and 10pm, with prizes donated from Monster Energy.
We will unveil “The Wig”…. (sort of like The Stig, but it’s THE WIG!)

Hooray for Australia Day! To help celebrations we’re offering $15 rides until this Friday 28th January. Just ask our counter staff for a $15 ride and it’s all yours… that’s $5 off the normal price.
And remember, this Thursday night we’re hosting a fun event to give away the DHZ Outlaw 140 Mini Moto. Get in before 8pm on Thursday to fill out an entry ticket for the bike.

Wednesday Race Night Cup Challenge – Starts 2nd February

Race night is set to begin again for 2011. We’ve reduced the weekly entry to $35! This is great value – $35 for approximately 35 minutes of karting, depending on your lap times. First race is on Wednesday 2nd February and runs for 6 weeks in total.
For all those race enthusiasts seeking their own race experience, this is the most affordable way to get involved in motor racing with go karts being provided for all entrants. You can bring your own helmets and gloves, or you can borrow a FastLane helmet and purchase grippy driving gloves for $10.
Weekly Door Prize is 1 Ride Pass.
Weekly Winner Prize is a 5 Ride Pass.
The overall winner gets their name on the Race Night Challenge Cup, and gets a prize pack with many great prizes sponsored by local businesses. Contents of the prize pack are yet to be confirmed.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2011 is set to be big at FastLane. We’ve got a new ride pass system that’s great value for customers, and we’re running some great prize promotions throughout the year.
We had a bit of rain this morning… not too much, just enough to make the track a bit slippery. Keep in mind, we DO run our karts in the rain. If you don’t mind getting a bit wet, it makes for some fun, challenging, SLIPPERY go karting. During December we had some hail which was interesting… just as we got organised to do some skids in the wet, the hail went away… DAMN! But here’s a video someone took on the day:

Go karting is something that kids and adults can all enjoy
The FastLane Fun Party is $50 per person and includes 3 Rides, licence, hotdog, slurpy and a medallion for the winner. Or add $2 per person to change the hotdog and slurpy into large pizzas and a can of drink. A Go Kart Party is a great way to share a thrilling and memorable experience, and is something kids and adults can enjoy together.
Kids from about the age of 7 (130cm tall) can drive a junior go kart. From the age of about 12, kids can try a senior go kart. Even the little kids can get involved, ages 4 – 6 years can be driven by an adult in one of our twin go karts.

We had another big day at Macarthur Square today. However we’re NOT near the Food Court any more.
We are now located near Michael Hill Jeweler and Electronics Boutique, right in the middle of Macarthur Square on the top floor, doing special deals on Gift Certificates.
The DHZ Outlaw 140 is still on display, with free entries for anyone who would like to win the motorbike.

We are trialling something new from Monday next week: 1 Ride will give 10 minutes of track time instead of 7 minutes. We’d be grateful to have your feedback on this decision!
