Series 3 of Kids Karting Klub seen up to 13 kids out on the track learning all about the karts, the new track and how to get around it the fastest and safest way possible. The kids got into the workshop to learn about the parts of the karts and with our new mechanic at Fastlane Karting we hope to do this a bit more next series too. Each week we would look at a different aspect of motor racing and try and engage the kids in active learning.
We have managed to gain some great support for the Kidz Karting Klub from places such as the Illawarra Fly TreeTop Walk, Dumaresq St Cinemas, the V8Supercars Official Fangroup, McDonalds, the Autism Advisory Support Service, Leumeah Club Hotel, KingPin Bowling, Stoney Creek Motorcycles and Zone 3- lazertag. We hope to add to this list next series so if you know anyone taht wants to support safe driving/racing then shoot Julie an email on julie@fastlanekarting.com.au.
We were very fortunate to have local young photographer Riley Coughlin with us each week photographing the Kidz Karting Klub and learning all about his own safety on the track and how and where to get the best action night shots. He learnt alot as the weeks went past gaining invaluable knowledge from the parents and you can see through his photos on his facebook page just how he has come along and also how much the karters have improved too.
Looking forward to SERIES 4 STARTING ON THE 10th of OCTOBER at 5:30 FOR ALL AGES DIVISIONS.
